River Takada-CapelBio: River is a Carrboro native, raised in the Chapel Hill area and went to Chapel Hill High School.  She graduated from the Professional Crafts Program at Haywood Community College, 2009, in Clyde, NC, concentrating in Fiber.  Now River has returned to the Chapel Hill area to pursue starting her business in the nuturing support of friends and family.  She sells clothing at Roulette Vintage, located on Main Street in Carrboro.  River focuses her creations to be Eco.Eco, ecological and economical, keeping processes low tech and low impact as well as using recycled materials to keep prices low for her customers.  Riverbasin strives to set a company standard of making wearable, expressive, handmade garments and accessories available to all who share her appreciation for the Earth and fashion.
