MorLove
www.morlove.org
MorLove is a community of environmentally and globally conscious artists, artisans and designers who hone their talents while helping those in need.
Using donated fabrics, we refashion textile materials into new products ranging from clothing to home furnishings. Each item is handcrafted and unique and represents tangible value when we sell them in local markets. We also raise funds through specialty events such as Redress Raleigh which showcases our designers’ works. Proceeds from these events and the sale of refashioned items help the various charities and projects we support.
Our focus is twofold: one, to create a learning environment for designers, craftsmen and artisans and, two, to support children in poverty with little means to live an enriched life. We provide these children with donated clothing, shoes, books and art supplies. Current campaigns support a home for abandoned babies and young children in Uganda, a school in Madagascar and local programs in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.
You can help by donating your time, ideas, skills and money to our cause. Our goal is to duplicate this giving model throughout America and the world and, in doing so, start an environmental, humanitarian and sustainable revolution.
